North Shore’s victory not only secured their ninth consecutive win this season, maintaining their pristine 9-0 record, but it also sealed at least a share of their sixth consecutive district championship. Their path to an outright title is clear, with a showdown against Kingwood in the regular-season finale next Thursday.

Regardless of the outcome against Kingwood, the Mustangs have claimed the coveted No. 1 seed in the Class 6A Division I playoffs, thanks to a tiebreaker against the valiant Eagles, who now stand at 8-1 (5-1).
