North Shore’s Dominance Continues: Securing District Glory and Playoff Supremacy

In a thrilling showdown at Galena Park ISD Stadium, the second-ranked team in the state, North Shore, showcased their supremacy in District 21-6A with a resounding 61-35 victory over seventh-ranked Atascocita. The atmosphere was electric with a packed house, setting the stage for the most anticipated Houston-area game of the season.

The Mustangs lived up to the hype, delivering a dominant performance. Their rushing game was a force to be reckoned with, amassing an impressive 371 yards. Fueling this triumph was the exceptional junior quarterback, Kaleb Bailey, who had a hand in five total touchdowns.

North Shore’s victory not only secured their ninth consecutive win this season, maintaining their pristine 9-0 record, but it also sealed at least a share of their sixth consecutive district championship. Their path to an outright title is clear, with a showdown against Kingwood in the regular-season finale next Thursday.

More than just district glory, this win also earned North Shore the upper hand in the playoff picture. Regardless of the outcome against Kingwood, the Mustangs have claimed the coveted No. 1 seed in the Class 6A Division I playoffs, thanks to a tiebreaker against the valiant Eagles, who now stand at 8-1 (5-1).

This victory adds to an already impressive North Shore legacy. The team boasts an awe-inspiring 25-game winning streak in the regular season and a remarkable 41 consecutive district wins.
